Amy is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of RESCHOOL, a nonprofit organization that is creating an equitable education system in Colorado where learning that happens everywhere is more accessible to all young people. We invest our time and resources in people, ideas, and growth experiences driven by communities. Amy has over 30 years of experience in the education and policy sectors. Prior to RESCHOOL, Amy led the Division of Innovation, Choice, and Engagement at the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) as Associate Commissioner. She is a founder and former board chair of one of Colorado’s first charter schools, The Odyssey School, started in 1998. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Aurora Institute. Anderson holds a Ph.D. and M.Ed. from the University of Colorado and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She lives in Denver, and enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family.
